23rd Annual Chowder Cook-Off It's the Super Bowl of Chowder! Come one, come all to the 23rd Annual Chowder Cook-Off, hosted by the Convention & Visitors Bureau of the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce to be held on Friday, February 8, 2008, at Cruise Terminal #4 in Port Canaveral. This event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

This festive event will feature the area's best chefs and restaurants competing with one another to determine who has the 'best chowder' on the Space Coast. During the event, there will be a few awards presented to participating restaurants and organizations. They are the Judge's Choice Award (participating restaurants will be competing for this coveted title) and the People's Choice Award (the winner of this award is determined 'by the people' the night of the event).

Another tradition taking place that evening will be the now-famous "Chowder Horse Race". Come help cheer your favorite 'horse' on to victory! Six decorated horses will race to the roar of the crowd with fabulous prizes awaiting the winner at the finish line. Be the first to 'check out' the stables before the race and watch the jockeys prepare their 'horses' for the big competition.
