MISSION
STATEMENT
To promote the economic well-being of the Cocoa
Beach area through the development and execution
of well-planned travel & tourism sales and
marketing strategies. |

STATEMENT
The Convention & Visitors Bureau serves
as a source for strong partnerships to participate
jointly in identifying and marketing the Cocoa
Beach area as a destination. Promoting and
inspiring the achievement of collective goals,
enriching the standard of living and providing
the resources to promote and measure economic
impacts on our community. |

Marketing
Committee ~ Chair, Andrea Hill, Ron
Jon Surf Shop
Establish goals & objectives for 2004 in
keeping with the overall mission of the CVB.
Review all collateral material; Outline a marketing
plan that encompasses the TDC grant; Work with
Executive Committee to establish budget; Contribute
to monthly editorial in the Spirit newsletter;
Identify Ad Hoc Committees, when necessary. |

Membership
Committee ~ Chair, Deborah Vanderslice,
Cocoa Village Welcome Center Establish goals
& objectives for 2004 in keeping with the
overall mission of the CVB. Review collateral
material to members; Evaluate member benefits
& services; Create communication methods
to increase member benefits; Organize Member
Mingles (minimum of 3 a year); Meet & Greet
at all CVB functions; Schedule speaker &
sponsors for meetings; Contribute to monthly
editorial in the Spirit newsletter;
Identify Ad Hoc Committees, when necessary. |

Work closely with BusinessMasters.com (web site
vendor) to redesign, construct, host & maintain
our new website “VisitCocoaBeach.com”
that will more effectively promote the Cocoa
Beach area as a tourism destination. |

Chowder
Cook-Off Committee ~ Chair,
Joe Judge, SYSCO Foods
Establish goals and objectives for 2005 Chowder
Cook-Off in keeping with the overall mission
of the CVB. Organize, manage and produce all
aspects of Chowder Cook-Off including location,
contestants, judges, sponsors, ticketing, public
relations and advertising, budget, food donations,
permits and signage. Chowder Cook-Off is currently
the major fundraiser for the Convention and
Visitors Bureau. |
