Kevin Arcieri, Hampton Inn Melbourne/Viera
Kevin grew up in Port Orange, FL and immediately after high school followed in the footsteps of multiple family members and became a police officer in Daytona Beach. Spending nearly five years in law enforcement taught Kevin many life lessons that he eventually took with him to Asheville, North Carolina as he pursued a different career path. After trying a handful of different positions, he stumbled into Hospitality and soared. Starting at a boutique hotel in such a culturally thriving area, Kevin believes, gave him the perfect base for his new career. Kevin started as part-time security and within a month, progressed through many positions within the company. On any given day he could be working security, move to serving in the restaurant, and end the day as a concierge.
After almost two years he became a Front Office Manager and supervised multiple areas of the hotel. Around this time, his soul searching adventure was coming to an end. He decided to move back to Florida with his new found career path and spend time with his family. He started in two different hotels in Daytona, working full time front desk for each. After a few months he was recruited by a hotel in Port Orange where they offered him a front desk position. After a very short time, he was offered a supervisor position which he quickly accepted. Kevin was then able to spend some time on his education and work on a Bachelors degree is management.
After one year, he was offered the newly created Assistant General Manager position. In this time, Kevin had achieved many awards including the Crystal Pineapple for runner up employee of the year for the company globally as well as two awards for guest service worldwide. Some time after his third year, he was approached by his current employer. By chance, he had ran into Kevin while looking at properties and offered him the General Manager position at the Hampton Inn Melbourne-Viera. Over the past year, Kevin has learned and taught many lessons, with many more opportunities to come, in a new community that he is grateful to be a part of.
