The City of Cocoa Beach is world renowned for its great location, laid-back surf style and pristine beaches. What more could visitors want? According to City of Cocoa Beach Mayor Dave Netterstrom, they need a spot that evokes a feeling of arrival!
"We've got people that come from all over, and we want them to have this feeling of arrival when they get [here], that spot where you just want to jump out of your car and take that 'selfie' next to the Kelly Slater statue,” said Mayor Dave Netterstrom.
The new “master plan” is comprised of three study areas city leaders call under-utilized spaces. The plan will focus on advancing the city’s image and will encourage beachgoers to not just come for the sand, but for the town itself!
Several public hearings will get underway prior to the approval of this master plan, but the strategy is well on its way.
