My name is Amanda and I chose Cocoa Beach as my hometown 10 years ago. Cocoa Beach is a unique community and I want to help you to love this town like a local. I’m happy to share some secrets and my favorite things, and why this little barrier island is so special.
Cocoa Beach is a proud and cohesive community. Cocoa Beach residents look out for each other in a way most communities would envy. We support our restaurants, shops and businesses and you will be surrounded by locals when you are out exploring and enjoying the town.
We are a small, hospitality, and eco driven community. We pride ourselves on great food, eco-tourism, community involvement, and love.
Let me share ‘my’ Cocoa Beach through my favorite topic food and Where To Dine in Cocoa Beach.
Don’t let our size fool you, we have grown into quite a foodie destination, including a downtown restaurant headed by a James Beard award winning chef. As a coastal community (we are tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River), fresh local seafood makes it on almost every menu (check out the Skinny Mermaid, Coconuts on the Beach or 4th Street Fillin Station’s mile-long beer menu, and creative food including a fab Sunday brunch, has become a fast favorite among locals.
Fine dining and a great date night options could include The Fat Snook or Florida’s Fresh Grill and Gregory’s Steak & Seafood. From flip flop beachfront casual to ‘dress up’ you will definitely find many favorites among the 40+restaurant options in Cocoa Beach.
*Local Tip: Use the new downtown parking garage and explore. Hidden gems are within the easily walkable downtown, and so worth experiencing. I believe a great way to learn about a destination is through food, and Cocoa Beach certainly doesn’t disappoint!
