Not to mention, there is nothing like watching the sunset aboard a kayak on the Banana River, WOW!
Wildside Tours offers 2-hour eco-nature tours aboard a quiet motor catamaran. Your captain will assist in identifying the diverse marine and birdlife so you’re sure not to miss anything! This tour is *super* relaxing and perfect for all ages.
If it is something a little more interactive you’re looking for, Fin Expeditions Kayak Tours is it! Offering daily tours, Fin Expeditions provides an up close and personal look at the beautiful mangroves and wildlife residing in the Banana River. Be sure reserve one of their evening Bioluminescence Tours during the summer months where each stroke of your paddle illuminates the microorganisms in the water. It is AMAZING!
Did you know that 11 Time World Surfing Champion, Kelly Slater (notice his bronze statue at the entrance to downtown) was born and raised in Cocoa Beach? He learned to surf on the very same beach that you can also ‘catch a wave’, and I assure you, surfing is a big deal here in Cocoa Beach! The famous Ron Jon Surf Shop is open 24 hours a day and is a must stop when you are in Cocoa Beach. Ron Jon Surf School provides surf lessons all year round along with surf camps each summer. Our waves are gentle and perfect for beginners of all ages. You will want to catch the action at Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier where they have it all – sun, sand, surf, fishing, food, drink and a Tiki Bar 800 feet out in the Atlantic!
