Labor Day Weekend Activities in the Cocoa Beach Area

The Cocoa Beach area has a host of activities going on this Labor Day weekend, beginning with the National Kidney Foundation Rich Salik PRO/AM Surf Festival! The festival kicks off today, Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1. There are several different events happening throughout the festival from a “Taste of Brevard” to a concert at the Cocoa Beach Pier! Ron Jon Surf Shop has activities planned around the surf festival as well, including a Bug Bash and a Movie Night on Saturday, August 30 from 7-9PM!

While the surfers storm the beaches, there are other activities happening mainland. The 2014 Brevard Caribbean Fest will take place this Sunday, August 31 from 12-9PM at the Cocoa Riverfront Park! Admission is free and you’ll get to witness one of Central Florida’s largest displays of Caribbean culture, food, music, art and entertainment! Are animals/reptiles your thing? The Brevard Zoo is hosting its annual Labor Day “Cold Blooded” Weekend. This special event lets visitors get up close with the zoo’s various reptiles! The event will be happening this Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1.
